Shanchuan (闪传)
Files straight from one phone to another. No mobile data, no server.
Shanchuan sets up a Wi-Fi Direct link between two Android phones: scan one QR code and photos, videos and files start moving. The transfer runs only between the two phones, through no server and over no mobile data; large files move at tens of megabytes a second.
- Scan to connect: no pairing, no sign-in.
- Background transfer: leave the page or lock the screen; the progress is in the notification.
- Resumes: if the link drops, scan again and it carries on.
- 5 GHz direct link, with a 2.4 GHz compatibility mode for phones that need it.
Coming soon.
